From a recent trip to the Columbia River Gorge, one of the more unique areas to find multiple photographic compositions was Gordon Creek.
While walking up the trail, other hikers told me that there were lots of downed trees that would prevent getting to the waterfalls. Taking this information, I focused my hike on finding other unique compositions along the paths and creeks.
While my original goal was to capture the waterfall at the end of the trail, but to be honest, I've always been a sucker for bridges and paths... so in a way, I was pretty lucky that the waterfalls at the end weren't obtainable, because it forced me to think outside of the original scope.
