The Rush of Elowah
Normally, Elowah Falls has a pretty basic 1 mile hike. However, the winter rains eroded part of the trail, leaving us to do a small amount of hill scrambling... With camera bags/tripods and wearing my waders. I probably never would have thought of it... But all those times when my mom said "go play outside, climb rocks and trees" paid off.
Once at the waterfalls, the rush was on... The rush to quickly find compositions with fading afternoon light, trying to keep lenses spot free in the splashing water/rain/mist, as well as just the feeling of being alive while standing waste deep in a fast moving river.
